SPRING PLAY

This year's spring play and musical is Godspell.  Performance Dates:  Friday, March 24 and Saturday, March 25, in the PAC at 7:00 PM. Tickets available at lunch in the PAC Box Office and at the door.  Checks and Cash accepted! RBonjean-Coleman

MARCH BOOK DRIVE

Advanced Culinary Arts & Hospitality/Skills USA is currently hosting a book drive in hopes to generate books for the age group of Kindergarten - 12th grade levels.  Plan are to donate to Tehama County Library or other educational groups.

SADIE HAWKINS DANCE
It is that time of the year again.... SADIE HAWKINS DANCE March 31st, 8:00 -11:00 PM.
 
It is time to get up the nerve to ask out your crush! Tickets will be sold at LUNCH time ONLY on March 20 - March 30th! ***Bonus!! There will be door prizes!!**  Remember to get a dance contract signed for you and your date. Make sure you do not have any charges or books out.

BLOOD DRIVE
Blood Drive!  Thursday March 30th in the Media Center.  If you want to give blood you must be at least 16 years old and get a parent consent form signed.  You must also sign up in room 103.  See Null for details.
JOB FAIR
Job & Career Fair coming to RBHS!  Are you interested in obtaining a job now or sometime in the future?  RBHS has invited several local businesses and agencies to come to the Café Sparta on Wednesday 4/5/17 from 1:30-3 pm.  Start getting ready for this event by preparing or updating your resume. – Ms. Blackketter
GIRLS
All 8th through 11th grade girls with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for new learning opportunities are welcome to apply to attend the Girl Scouts NorCal Camp CEO teen girl leadership camp, set for July 26-29, 2017. You DO NOT have to be in Girl Scouts to attend. Camp CEO gives girls the important opportunity to have a direct link to successful women who can advise on career exploration, resume building, college preparation, and much more.  In addition to workshops ranging from financial literacy to self-esteem, girls will participate in the fun traditional camp activities that Camp Bothin has to offer, including teambuilding, swimming, the high adventure course, arts and crafts, archery, and more.  The event is free, all meals are provided, and no previous Girl Scout experience is required. MONEY FOR SUMMER PROGRAMS
Are you interested in attending a summer program but are discouraged because you don't have the $$ to pay the cost?
 
Well, consider applying for the College Options Summer Program Scholarship.  For more information about summer opportunities and scholarships to pay these costs go to https://www.collegeoptions.org/college-options-scholarships.  Deadline to apply for the scholarship is March 27th so don't delay! SUMMER CLASSES AT SHASTA COLLEGE
If you are planning on taking a summer class at Shasta College, please come to the Counseling Center to pick up the paperwork.  All paperwork must be completed before March 28.
 SCHOLARSHIPS

Seniors:  Remember to keep checking the Senior Scholarship Handbook for upcoming scholarships.  New applications are arriving in the Counseling Center each week. 

The Red Bluff High School Spartan Centennial Committee is offering a $250.00 scholarship available to a graduating senior who has parents or grandparents that graduated from Red Bluff Joint Union High School.  Applicants must have at least a 2.0 GPA, and are planning to attend a college or a vocational school in the fall of 2017.  Applications are available in the Counselling Center, and are due back by 3:30, Friday April 28, 2017.

 

Antelope School District Community Scholarship Scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $250 to $1,000 as determined by the scholarship committee. Application is available in the Counseling Center or online at www.goo.gl/RsRwgU  Deadline is April 10

Seniors with a 3.0 gpa who are interested in any field related to horiculture or environmental studies like floriculture, forestry, conservation, urban planning can apply for the $1500 Red Bluff Garden Club Inc./ Lorna Bonham Scholarship.  Get an application from the counseling office. The deadline isn March 24th.  PPhillips

UNDERAGE SUBSTANCE ABUSE

All students, parents, and staff are invited to a community-wide Town Hall Meeting on underage drinking and prescription drug use on Tuesday, April 4th, from 6-7:30 pm in the Cafe.  The event will include a panel discussion, student presentations, and a time for Q&A.  Come learn how you can protect yourself and those you love.  The event is sponsored by the Tehama County Drug-Free Community Coalition.  Questions?  Call 528-7356. JUNIORS 

Now is the time to sign up for the SAT.  The test will be offered on Saturday May 6th at RBHS.  This is the only time this test will be offered at the RBHS campus.  To register for this test, go to https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat. The deadline to sign up without a late fee is April 7th.  See your counselor if you are on the free/reduced lunch program because you will qualify for a fee waiver to cover the cost of the test. MARK TWAIN & ANTSY MCCLAIN The Red Bluff High School Athletic Booster Club in conjunction with the State Theater is proud to present Antsy McClain and the Trailer Park Troubadours on Friday March 31st and impressionist McAvoy Lane as Mark Twain on Saturday April 1st.  Both shows will start at 7:30.  These
