 NEWS FOR EVERYONE
NATIONAL Rx TAKE BACK DAY Saturday, April 29th, is the DEA's National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.   County residents can drop-off expired, unwanted, or unused prescription drugs and other medications at the Tehama County Sheriff's Office or the Corning Police Department between 10 am - 2 pm.   Help prevent abuse and theft of drugs that can be a potential source of supply for illegal use. SPECIAL OLYMPICS Please get those applications to be a peer volunteer turned in.  I will continue to accept them until this Friday.  We are still in need of volunteers.  Continue to tune in to the bulletin to find out if you've been accepted as a volunteer-a list will be posted.  Owens

FIELD TRIP
Field trip opportunity – Shasta College’s NEW event (Non-traditional employment for women) is on Friday, May 5th.  “A new way for women who want to start their future today!”  Tours of the following Shasta College programs:  Administration of Justice, Computer Information, Fire, Heavy Equipment (last year some students actually operated backhoes), Transportation and Welding.  Permission slips are available in the CTE Office.  Deadline to apply is Friday, April 28th. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Community Service Opportunity – Bidwell Elementary School will be painting their blacktop (artistically) and would like 20-30 RBHS student volunteers on Saturday, May 6th and Sunday, May 7th.  This will be a great opportunity for anyone who likes art projects.  More information is available on the Job Board. – Ms. Blackketter 
 

Community Service Need – Los Molinos Volunteer Fire Department needs 3-4 servers for their Annual Tri-Tip Dinner on Saturday May 13th.  Contact Jeannie Hart at 736-8658 to sign-up.  More information is available on the Job Board. – Ms. Blackketter

CONNECT CREW
Applications to be in Connect Crew for the 2017-2018 school year are available in Room 212! If you are interested in being a mentor to incoming Freshmen and an overall positive influence at RBHS stop by room 212 to ask any questions you may have and pick up your application. Applications are available before school, during break, at lunch, and after school. Applications are due Wednesday, May 3rd!
