TWISTER Student Government is looking to borrow some "TWISTER MATS" from the game Twister.  Please bring them to room 109 before Wednesday October 25th. 
WRESTLING Attention all potential wrestlers. Anyone wanting to come out for the 2017-18 wrestling season, there is a meeting on Wednesday October 25th at lunch in room 407. There will be a sign up roster along with rules, team expectations and this season’s schedule. Look forward to seeing you there. TMinto

Community Service opportunity – Ms. Haase from Reeds Creek School (past RBHS Associate Principal) is in need of 10 students to help with their Halloween Event on Friday, 10/27/17.  Students will run games/activities and hand out candy to the participants.  Dressing in costume is encouraged, but not required.  More information is available on the Job Board at the CTE Office.

Lassen View School needs 10-15 volunteers for their Halloween Carnival on Saturday, 10/28/17 from 4:00 to 8:30 pm.  They are asking that volunteers dress in costume!  Talk with Ms. McDonald in the TRC or come by the CTE Office for the information flier. – Ms. Blackketter

Community Service Opportunity - Dairyville Orchard Festival needs volunteers for their event on Saturday, 10/21/17.   They have 3 work shifts and need 10-15 students for each shift.  Come by the CTE Office and pick up a flier to schedule your volunteer time.  I hear this is a fun event! – Ms. Blackketter

Help us show the importance of being DRUG FREE by participating in Red Ribbon Week.
  • Get caught wearing your red bracelets during the week and get a treat. 
Dress Up Days for the Week. Remember dressing in all red is against school dress code.

  • Come show your support for a drug-free community by wearing red at the Red Ribbon Week Kick-Off on Monday, October 23th at 4 pm on the old Courthouse lawn in Red Bluff.  RBHS choirs will perform.

  • The Other Side of Cannabis is an award-winning documentary that takes a candid look at the negative effects of marijuana on teens.  It will be shown Tuesday, October 24th at 6 pm at the Tehama County Department of Education, 1135 Lincoln Street, Red Bluff

  • Red Sock Day
  • Red t-shirt day! At break, join us on the football field for a Red T-shirt spirit photo. 
Thurs. Lunchtime Activity-
  • "DON'T get TWISTED up with drugs" LUNCHTIME ACTIVITY-twister game in front of the library.
  • Hands Off Drugs Pledge Mural at the lunchtime activity in front of the library.

Need help preparing for all things college? The Chico State Upward Bound Program is now accepting applications. If you are interested in applying, see your counselor at the counseling office for an application. The deadline is December 1st, 2017”

FIELD TRIP OPPORTUNITY Field Trip Opportunity open to ALL students – Manufacturing Expo at CSU Chico on Thursday 11/16/17.  Attend one of the following presentations - Automation & Robotics; Cradle to Cradle: a Plastics Story; Drones: From Concept to Flight; OR 3D Printing: From Vision to Reality.  Come meet local manufacturers, explore career options, and learn about technical, engineering, marketing, CAD, welding, robotics and other in demand occupations.  Plus, take a tour of CSU Chico’s Manufacturing programs.  This field trip is limited to 100 students, so be the first to sign up at the CTE Office.  – Ms. Blackketter
