Science

Biology is a lab-based, conceptually taught coordinated science class. The course will focus on the science of ecology and the environment, cells, genetics and evolution, and human systems emphasizing the scientific method process and critical thinking.

Chemistry is the study of the microscopic world around us.  It uses a mathematical and scientific approach towards understanding the invisible world of atoms, molecules and compounds which dictate how everything in the universe exists and functions.  The academic skills and knowledge accumulated in this class will help students in future classes, college and even life. The process of analyzing, understanding, interpreting and solving problems is the basis of any successful career.
 
Health includes general physical, social and emotional teen health issues, family health history, chronic diseases, lifestyle choices as it relates to health, quality of life and longevity, values, decision making, goal setting, first aid basics, tobacco, alcohol, various illegal and prescription drugs, human reproductive anatomy and physiology, STI's, and birth control.
